今天在CD上看了一篇帖子《谁都能走出困境,只要你坚持!》其中对我最有用的一句话是“每天获得什么新的收获,比是否完成了计划要重要的多。”
这个和日本的Kaizen(改善)(大陆的同仁没有代理可能访问不了Wikipedia...)理论有异曲同工之妙。
不过还是要平衡完成计划于每天改善。
写了这么多废话, 其实是因为昨天啥也没干, 工作没激情, GMAT也没激情。。。人生的低谷啊。。。in ideal world, 我每天认真投入8小时, 下班了就认真GMAT。 可惜we don't live in an ideal world don't we?
记得和永康讨论过MBA学习任务重什么的, 我当时的论点是, 在国外, 食物结构不一样, 根据我的经验干更多的活是没问题的, 而且国外社会比较easy, 不想国内这么艰难, 所以自然能做得更多。 此话一出, 难免被扣上外国的月亮圆的帽子。 前几天看博客, 这位在福州的美国仁兄跟我有共鸣。他说“The biggest difference,” I told him, “is that if you were working in the US, you would most likely be working less hours, but doing a lot more work during that time.”
Sometimes knowing the fact just bothers me.
昨天team里共事2年的一个同事被lay off了, 他有比较特殊的原因, 然而也反应了公司的不景气。 但是随着08的奥运和10年的世博我还是很乐观的。
这周六的Milestone得完成OG11 yellow的语法部分。Guy Kawasaki诙谐的点评过the difference between a milestone and a task. He said a milestone is an achievement like "shipping a software" a task is a piece of work you need to do such as buying stationary. He gave an example, when you completed a milestone you should call your wife and tell her "hi honey, We shipped!", you don't call your wife and say "honey, we bought stationary!"。
Instead of making a call, I will cook a meal when I finish sentence correction of OG11. Hmmm, maybe call my dad.
